The etymology of "Behind" usually refers to the physical meaning of “at the back of” but can also mean “behind the times” (1826), or a place that has not caught up with current culture.

This VR experience takes you to a moment of time that seems historical yet apocalyptic. The player is stuck in a constant hellish narrative of being behind both in time and in physicality ­‑‑ it never allows you to dwell on what is behind you, though it may be daunting.
